If you have ever wanted to venture into space, this might actually be your chance.

Virgin Airlines has announced that the customer who builds up the most miles between the release of the announcement and August 7 in 2013 will be rewarded with a free trip to space.

The suborbital space flight comes about from Virgin’s new venture in building the worlds first commercial space port for tourists in space! The contest aims at rewarding the customer who flies the most with virgin, not necessarily spends the most money, although it won’t be cheap! This free space trip accompanies the usual free trips and upgrades that Virgin miles can usually be exchanged for. The person who earns the second highest number of Virgin miles will not be left empty handed either, winning a free zero gravity flight. Not as good as the space trip, but still an adventure in its own right.

Virgin’s Galactic is predicted to start offering flights to space approximately two hours long in as near as 2013. Normally, a flight like this would cost around 200,000 thousand dollars.

Despite the huge price, there is a massive amount of ticket holders already and the list is only growing. Winning the competition could leave you in the company of these ticket holders, said to include celebrities like Stephen Hawking, Richard Branson (the man behind it all) and Ashton Kutcher.

See more about Virgin Galactic at the official website here.
