Nokia is reportedly bringing the 41 mega pixel super smartphone, the Nokia PureView 808, to the US. Earlier this year, the Nokia PureView 808 was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, featuring a high resolution sensor and Carl Zeiss optics in combination with Nokia algorithms, bringing a new super smartphone.
41 megapixels sounds impressive, but it is how these pixels are used by the Nokia PureView 808 that is impressive. The smartphone uses brand new pixel over sampling technology which grabs seven pixels, then condensing it into a single pixel. The result of this is an unbelievably sharp 5 megapixel image. You can zoom into any part of the image and still see things clearly thanks to the additional detail captured.
Teaser images were posted by Nokia recently which reportedly hints towards a launch in the US. It has also been noted that a mystery Microsoft event may involve works with Nokia involving a tablet.
