Lady Gaga is set to debut her acting career in the follow up to Robert Rodriguez’s horror movie ‘Machete’. The film is also set to star famous names such as Charlie sheen, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson and Michelle Rodriquez.

Lady Gaga has taken a role in the film, and has recently tweeted confirming the news herself.

“Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane,” she writes.

Lady Gaga has previously appeared on television as her alter ego Jo Calderone in an episode of the Sopranos as a teenager, but this will be Gaga’s very first major movie role (if you don’t count her small cameo in Men in Black 3).

Rodriquez also tweeted a photo of Gaga as her character. According to reports, Lady Gaga will be playing a character by the name of La Chameleon. The character has a hollywood glamour fashion style, and so you can’t imagine what Lady Gaga will do with this.

Charlie Sheen is also set to play the President in the film. And with the handful of stellar individuals in this film, it is sure to be an interesting one. Not to mention the acclaimed stylings of Robert Rodriquez.

‘Machete Kills’ is set to be released in 2013.

Plot: The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.
