According to the latest round of rumours for the next model of the Apple iPhone, the expected release date is coming up. Rumours are circulating that September 7 will be the big day, with tech website iMore claiming that the sources of the rumours have proven pretty accurate in the past.
The iPhone 5 at this point is most likely to have a slightly larger screen at 4 inches, in comparison to the iPHone 4S at 3.5 inches. With android devices pushing the boundaries of screen size, like the Samsung Note’s 5.3 inch screen, Apple is likely to follow suite.
It is also expected that the latest Apple iPhone will have fast 4G LTE connectivity. The new iPad already has this option, however Apple received a multimillion dollar fine in Australia due to misleading consumers on the availability of 4G connectivity. But Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications company, is looking to bring in 4G connectivity to their network on a mainstream scale.
Other rumours speculate that the Apple iPhone 5 will also feature a pumped up battery, with leaked shots of a higher capacity batter reaching the internet. A smaller dock connector has also been speculated, but seems unlikely due to the streamlined dock connector already feature on all Apple devices. At this point, it does not make much sense to change this feature. A THINNER screen is also predicted, with new technology allowing for slimmer LCD screens. This of course will also allow for a slimmer iPhone 5 all up.
